Contribute
MET 2027 invites contributions of original research, reviews, case studies and industrial applications across four thematic tracks. The formal Call for Papers is issued in October 2026 and abstract submission opens at the same time.
Invitation
The conference brings together researchers, engineers, classification societies, regulators and industry to address the decarbonisation and digital transformation of shipping. Every accepted contribution is peer reviewed and presented in a technical session alongside keynote addresses and panel discussions.
Contributions are welcome from academia and from industry alike. We particularly encourage submissions that report practical experience, operational data or regulatory experience, and submissions from postgraduate students and early-career researchers, for whom dedicated sessions are planned.
Abstract length, paper templates and page limits are not yet published. They are confirmed with the formal Call for Papers in October 2026. TBC
Process
Choose one of the four thematic tracks and email your abstract to the conference secretariat. The secretariat replies with a submission reference, normally within five working days.
The international scientific committee reviews every abstract and notifies authors of the outcome.
Authors of accepted abstracts prepare a full paper to the published template and email it to the same address by the deadline, quoting the submission reference.
Full papers are peer reviewed. Authors receive final acceptance together with the session programme.
At least one author registers for the conference and presents the work in the assigned technical session.

Publication
Conference proceedings and a journal special issue are planned. The publisher, indexing and the participating journals will be announced with the Call for Papers.
